Cheltenham Literature Festival

Running from 4th to 13th October 2024, the festival brings together world-renowned writers, performers, and stars like Dame Judi Dench, Trevor McDonald, Jacqueline Wilson, and Rebecca F. Kuang. There’s also a range of free activities, including the ever-popular Lit Crawl and VOICEBOX zone for all ages to enjoy.

  • The Brewery Quarter’s Halloween Fun: From disco parties at The Play Farm to discounted games at Hollywood Bowl and a sinister escape room challenge, there’s plenty to keep the little (and big!) ones entertained.

  • Gloucester Quays Halloween Trail: Running from 18th October to 2nd November 2024, follow a pumpkin-themed trail, snap some spooky selfies, and grab some delicious seasonal treats. The trail costs just £2, with proceeds going to the Pied Piper Appeal.
  • Slimbridge Wetland Centre Halloween Light Trail: A brand-new experience, this family-friendly trail runs on Friday and Saturday evenings throughout October. Follow the lights into the world of the Marsh Witch, enjoy crafts, toast marshmallows, and make a wish with the fabled witch. Tickets start from £12.50.

Lastly, for a truly wholesome experience, visit one of the county's many Pick Your Own pumpkin patches at Primrose Vale Farm Shop, Cattle Country Farm Park, or Over Farm— some even offer night-time picking!
