Hatherley Manor Sets the Standard with Eco-Friendly Innovations

Hatherley Manor Hotel & Spa is thrilled to announce its commitment to sustainability through a suite of forward-thinking environmental initiatives. These initiatives are designed to significantly reduce the hotel’s carbon footprint and drive to become Carbon neutral while enriching the guest experience.

At the heart of the hotel’s efforts is the installation of state-of-the-art solar panels. On clear, sunny days, these panels provide all the electricity required for the hotel and spa, marking a significant leap towards renewable energy dependence. This initiative not only reduces the hotel’s environmental impact but also ensures a cleaner and greener experience for the guests.

In addition to the solar energy project, Hatherley Manor has introduced electric car charging points. By offering these amenities, the hotel aims to support the growing number of electric vehicle owners and contribute to a reduction in fossil fuel consumption.

The Hatherley Manor’s commitment to reducing plastic waste is evident in the decision to remove single-use plastic bottles in all bedrooms and replace them with larger, more eco-friendly dispensers within the next year. This change is part of a broader effort to minimise plastic waste and its harmful effects on the environment. Hatherley Manor is also working closely with suppliers to ensure packaging is minimised and products are ethically sourced, further enhancing its sustainable practices.

As part of the hotel’s efforts to become more environmentally friendly, it has also welcomed five beehives and is proudly participating in rewilding initiatives on this impressive 37-acre site. By cultivating bee colonies, the hotel contributes to the vital task of pollination, supporting local biodiversity. The expansive fields and gardens are being allowed to rewild, creating a haven for wildlife and promoting a healthier ecosystem.
