The closest airport to the hotel is Bristol Airport which is 50.9 miles and Birmingham Airport which is 56.6 miles away. Both within easy reach for domestic and international travel.
The surrounding area of the hotel is the gorgeous Gloucestershire countryside which offers historic sites, scenic walks, and cultural attractions.
The nearby city of Gloucester features shopping, museums, and entertainment venues. A highlight being Gloucester Cathedral ,the 1,000-year-old landmark is home to beautiful architecture, stained glass, the tomb of Edward II, and cloisters used in the Harry Potter films.
There are many pubs scattered in and around our neighbouring villages, a member of our Reception Team will be happy to advise and print out driving directions.
Our Hotel is within easy reach of several excellent local theatres, including the popular Bacon Theatre in Cheltenham, which hosts live music, comedy, drama and film screenings. The renowned Everyman Theatre and The Roses Theatre in nearby Tewkesbury also offer a fantastic year-round programme of performances and entertainment.

At Hatherley Manor, it’s all about making your stay as comfortable and flexible as possible. Whether you arrive late in the evening, need to leave early, or simply fancy a lie-in, we’ll do our best to ensure you’re well looked after. We offer room service, early breakfast options and children’s menus to help cater for your needs, but if there’s anything extra you require, please just ask. We are an extremely dog friendly hotel, there is a small supplement charge of £15.00 per dog, per night which includes a dog bowl and treats in your bedroom on arrival. Dogs are welcome in the main lounge and bar area but are not permitted in the main restaurant.
Hatherley Manor is your home from home so we don’t believe in strict dress codes. As long as you’re relaxed and comfortable, we’re happy. We do sometimes have dress codes for events which can be found on their specific FAQ’s.

Detailed plans of your escape route are located near your bedroom door. Please make sure that you know the most direct route out to the Fire Point at the front of the hotel, before you retire for the night.
If you discover a fire, please break the clear plastic panel on the nearest call point. Please do not try to tackle a fire yourself.
Please note that by law we are required to test the fire alarm once a week. We do this at 11am every Tuesday and this should last for 10 seconds.
We have several recommended florists. If you would like to place an order, please contact reception and we will happily arrange this for you.
During weekends and busy periods we may need up to 48 hours notice of your requirements.
The closest garage for petrol or diesel is in Tewkesbury Road, Gloucester, just a few minute’ drive from the hotel. It’s open daily from 6am–10pm.
If you require specific dealerships, then reception will be able to source the closest for you.
If there is something you forgot to pack or wish you had, please call reception. We might to be able to supply you from our ‘emergency kit’.

Gloucester railway station is the nearest train station to Hatherley Manor Hotel & Spa.
It is located approximately 3–4 miles away, roughly a 7–10 minute taxi ride from the hotel. If you require advice on train times then please ask at reception and they will research them for you.
