What to Expect & Insider Tips:

  •  Get There & Arrive Early: Gates open at 10:30 am during the Festival. Arriving early gives you time to settle in, have a look around, and perhaps spot jockeys and trainers arriving.
  • Choose Your Enclosure (Ticket Area): Your ticket determines where you can go on the course — so pick one that fits your vibe. There are three main enclosures: Club Enclosure – The premium experience. Access to the main grandstand, winning-post views, the Parade Ring, and more upscale food & drink options. Tattersalls Enclosure – Excellent views in a central part of the course; less expensive than Club but still very good. Best Mate Enclosure – Great value. Situated opposite the main grandstand; lively and accessible for first-timers. Insider Tip: If you want luxury and don’t mind the extra spend — go Club. If you’re after the full experience for less – Tattersalls or Best Mate are solid options.
  •  Food, Drink & Keeping Comfortable: Food and drink options are varied, with both high-end and casual outlets depending on your enclosure. For example, in the Club area there are dedicated bars and burger stands. Dress smart: While there’s no strict dress code, festival-style often leans towards “smart with flair”. Check the forecast and plan accordingly. Stay hydrated and plan for the whole day — the Festival runs from morning to late afternoon/early evening. Insider Tip: Use the official app of the venue to guide you around, check live updates and avoid missing anything.
  • Plan your Schedule: First race typically early afternoon — check your ticket / schedule.  Expect post-race live music and entertainment in the venues after the last race — a great way to round off the day. If you’re staying for the full day, plan your departure well! Insider Tip: book your taxi in advance and make your smooth retreat to Hatherley Manor Hotel & Spa.
