A lovely walk that will take you all the way to the top of the Herefordshire Beacon.
This is a hilly walk that offers plenty of rest and picnic spots and all of the paths are very well signposted.
The British Camp carpark can get busy so we do advise you start your walk early. Refreshments and toilets are situated next to the carpark.

The Cotswold way showcases the wonderful countryside with a 102 mile route. Although few people do the full walk, many walk along the route, and enjoy the scenic countryside from fields to wooded areas.
In Gloucester, take a wander around the historic Gloucester Docks and canalside trails then stop for a pint with your dog at pubs that welcome well-behaved pups like The Fountain Inn, Dr Foster or Brewhouse & Kitchen – Gloucester Quays. You can explore outdoor museum spaces like Gloucester Waterways Museum site (dogs on leads welcome outside) and enjoy wide canalside walks together. In Cheltenham, head out for scenic walkies in places like Pittville Park and nearby countryside before relaxing with a drink at dog-friendly pubs such as Sandford Park Alehouse, The Old Courthouse or The Brown Jug. For a quirky outing, hop on the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Steam Railway dog‑friendly train rides (dogs welcome on leads) through the Cotswolds or watch for occasional dog-friendly cinema screenings at UK cinemas where pups can join you for a film (usually with quieter sound and brighter lights for comfort) — check local listings for sessions near you.
In Gloucester, head to Jollyes – The Pet People, Lynton Pets, Pets Corner or Pets at Home Gloucester for treats, toys and gear your dog will love — pet stores are naturally welcoming to four-legged visitors. You can also browse the open-air Gloucester Quays and find independent shops that often allow well-behaved dogs on leads, and pop into places like garden centres nearby that are dog friendly too.
