Down Hatherley Village Fete

In Down Hatherley Church and Field on Sunday 11th July 2010, a Victorian theme to an old classic took place, the village fete!
The entertainment and games included Magic Lantern shows, Penny Farthing, Children's entertainer and musician, Local Limerick competition ,Animals including Llamas and Ponies, Fun-Flying contraptions from the church tower, Stalls such as Hatherley manors Coconut Shy and Bat the Rat, Kids Racing, Face Painting, Egg throwing, BBQ, Teas, Cakes, Plants and Books.
The very popular coconut shy and bat the rat stalls made by Hatherley manors very own handy man Keith Wootten raised £73.50 and all the proceeds were donated to the parish.
The fun filled day was attended by many from the local area and regular users of the hotel and its Dewinton Restaurant and entered its restaurant loyalty scheme prize draw to win a bottle of Champagne. We are pleased to announce the winner, Helen Nicol.
Mrs Nicol and other entrees to the prize draw can take advantage of a great Sunday lunch offer to book a table for 4 and receive a bottle of our house wine is available throughout July and August.
The Stalls are available for other local fates and village events.
