British Steam Car Presentation

On August 25th 2009 at St Edward's Air Force Base in California, USA the British Steam Car Team broke the longest standing land speed record in history for a steam powered vehicle. Drive Charles Brunett III set an average speed of 139.843 mph over two consecutive runs over a measured mile.
On 26th August 2009, the British Steam car driven by Don Wales, broke a second record achieving an average speed of 148.308 mph over two consecutive runs over a measured kilometre. Both have been recorded and since been ratified by the FIA.
